Port & Warehousing
Yinson is operating warehouses in Malaysia, Vietnam and Singapore. Total area under its direct management exceed 500,000 sqm and is growing annually. These warehouses are storing commodities like cement, coal, chemical, steel products, textile and heavy machineries. Yinson offers a comprehensive logistic solution to its international customers including custom clearance at ports, domestic trucking and security protection for high value cargo. Yinson’s customers include Glencore, Marubeni, Louis Dreyfus, Stena Metals, Cargill and many international traders operating in South East Asia.
Yinson had also on 22 July 2011, entered into Conditional Sale and Purchase Contract to acquire 40% stake in Phu My Port (Southern Region of Vietnam) at approx. RM26.38 million. Acquisition is completed on 12 July 2012. The principal activities of Phu My Port are logistics and services on management, administration, business and port operations (i.e. warehouses, factories, vehicles, heavy lifting, weighting, leasing, etc.). The port is designed to accommodate different types of vessels and is expected to handle up to 2.5 million tons of cargo a year without further capital investment in infrastructure.
